Nasir’s dog was used for Akshay Kumar’s film Rakshabandhan. This fourth generation of this animal supplier, famously known as Mr. Nasir, is in this business. Mr. Nasir says that his grandfather and great grandfather used to supply wild animals like snakes and mongoose in many films like Pakeezah, Kohinoor. He has supplied animals for the films of Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor.
How are animals selected?
First of all, when the animal supplier is contacted by the production, then they shoot a video of their animal and send it to the production. If he gets selected in this audition, then further work is started. The per day fees of these animals starts from Rs 5000 and goes up to Rs 25000. Fees for larger animals are charged up to Rs 50,000. Actually, to keep these animals together, the animal supplier has to take permission from the Forest Department.
