Fast observed on Karva Chauth, husband trapped in tunnel on Diwali
Only 10 days had passed since Karva Chauth, Rajni Tudura had observed a fast for her husband’s long life and broke the fast after seeing him. On the day of Diwali, husband Virendra got stuck in Kisku Tunnel. Since the accident, Rajni is sitting with her husband’s photo close to her chest. Rajni Tudura is sitting in the hope that one day a faint line of light will be seen at the end of the dark tunnel. She hopes that instead of the picture of her husband who came out of the tunnel, she will hug her chest. Rajni is sitting in front of the Uttarkashi disaster site holding her husband’s photo close to her chest.
Talked to husband on Saturday, Rajni was adamant
On Saturday, she got a chance to talk to her husband Virendra Kisku. After talking to her husband, she told the media that I am ready to do everything for my husband to come back. Rajni says that I will sit here until I take my husband out of the tunnel. Rajni and Virendra were married 19 years ago. He has 4 children. His daughter Sujata is in school. Sujata’s exams are near and to avoid any disruption in her studies, Rajni did not inform her daughter about this accident. Rajni has also asked both the younger daughters not to tell anything to Didi.
