Heavy police force has been deployed in the area after stones were pelted at women going for well worship in Nuh district of Haryana on Thursday night. Based on the statement of the women, a case has been registered under 354, 323 and SC/ST Act. Actually, at around 7.30 pm on Thursday the women were going to the temple to worship the well. As soon as she reached near the mosque, stones were pelted at her. However, she ignored it and moved ahead.

After this, when she was coming back from the temple, stones were pelted at her and many women got injured in this stone pelting. This stone pelting took place from the mosque. After this the police was informed. Sadar SHO and City DSP reached the spot, sent the people of the community to their respective homes and took the situation under control. Also, a case has been registered and investigation has been started.

A footage of the incident was also revealed from inside the madrasa, on the basis of which three children have been identified and they have also been rounded up. Police said that if the Imam of the Madrasa is saying that no incident like stone pelting took place, then if necessary he will also be interrogated. If any incident happens in their premises then they will have to take responsibility for it and first of all they should teach the children good manners so that such incident does not happen from their side.

‘No incident of stone pelting took place’

The Imam of the mosque said that the children studying in the madrasa were playing in the evening, their slippers or some item accidentally fell and it got hurt by someone. This thing was expanded. Had any incident like stone pelting taken place here, SP and people from other parties would have reached the spot last night itself. At the same time the injured should have been presented before the SP but there is no truth in this incident. There are three small children, the eldest is 11 years old. These children cannot do such work.

MLA appealed to the people for peace

Nuh MLA Aftab Ahmed has said that people should come together and find a solution to this problem. This kind of incident is condemnable. Police have registered the case and are investigating. Action should be taken against those who are guilty.

Demand to close the market

The aggrieved party has given a written complaint to the police demanding action. These people also appealed to close the market in protest against the incident. Some shopkeepers also closed their shutters in support of him, but he also had altercations with some shopkeepers. Police force is deployed on the spot, hence most of the shops are open and mixed effect of the bandh is being seen.
