Adhik Maas Pradosh Vrat June 2026: In Sanatan Dharma, the fast of Pradosh is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Pradosh fast is observed every month on the Trayodashi date of Krishna and Shukla paksha. This fast is a special occasion to receive the blessings of Lord Shiva. The importance of Pradosh Kaal increases a lot during Pradosh Vrat, because Lord Shiva is worshiped at this time on this day. Lord Shiva becomes pleased with Pradosh fast and worship and bestows happiness and prosperity in life.
Adhikamaas is going on these days. This month has been dedicated to Lord Shri Hari Vishnu. This month comes once in three years, hence the fasts and festivals falling in this month are considered very special. Pradosh fast of Adhikamaas is also considered very special. Pradosh Vrat is known by the name of Vaar of the day on which it falls. The first Pradosh fast of the month of June will be observed on 12th. This Pradosh fast will also be observed in Adhikamaas. June Pradosh Vrat 2026 Date (Pradosh Vrat June 2026 Tithi)
- According to the Panchang, Trayodashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Jyeshtha month is starting on June 12 at 07:36 pm.
- At the same time, this date will end on June 13 at 4:07 pm.
The time of Pradosh Kaal is important in Pradosh Vrat. The date of Pradosh Vrat is on 13th June, but Pradosh Kaal time is not available for worship, hence the first Pradosh Vrat of June will be observed on 12th June. This fast will be observed on Friday, due to which it will be called Shukra Pradosh Vrat.
June Pradosh Vrat Pooja Muhurta (Pradosh Vrat June 2026 Puja Muhurat)
Performing Pradosh Vrat puja during Pradosh period is very auspicious. The auspicious time of puja during Pradosh period on 12th June will be from 07:36 pm to 09:20 pm.
Pradosh Vrat Puja Method (Pradosh Vrat Puja Vidhi)
On the day of Pradosh fast, take bath in the morning and worship. Then keep a fruit-free fast throughout the day. In the evening, go to Lord Shiva’s temple or if there is a Shivalinga in the house, then anoint it. Offer water, milk, honey, Ganga water, bel leaves and white flowers to Lord Shiva. After this recite Shiv Chalisa, Mahamrityunjaya Mantra or Pradosh Vrat Katha. Finally, conclude the puja by performing Shiva ji aarti.
