‘I Would Die for Her’: Vin Diesel on Bond with Meadow Walker
Vin Diesel has opened up about his enduring bond with his late ‘Fast and Furious’ co-star Paul Walker’s daughter, Meadow Walker, calling her “such a blessing” in his family’s life and saying, “I would die for her.” As per E! News, at a recent event marking the action franchise’s 25th anniversary, Diesel said Meadow remains closely connected to his family.
“She’s the first one to ever call me on Father’s Day,” Vin said, adding, “She’s the first one to show up to all the kids’ birthdays.” Diesel, who has three children: Hania, 18, Vincent, 16, and Pauline, 11 with his longtime partner Paloma Jimenez, added, “I’m so grateful to have her in my family’s life.” Calling Meadow “a true cousin to my angels,” Diesel emphasised the depth of their relationship, saying, “I would die for her,” as quoted by E! News.
‘Meadow Adds a Grace’
The actor also spoke about Meadow’s presence at the event, saying, “It means everything,” because “I don’t know if I could have come to the red carpet.” He added, “And Meadow adds a grace.” Paul Walker died in a fatal car crash in 2013 at the age of 40. Meadow, his daughter with Rebecca Soteros, was 15 at the time.
A Lasting Family Connection
Since Walker’s death, Diesel has remained close to Meadow. He also walked her down the aisle when she married Louis Thornton-Allan in 2021. The pair reunited at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival on May 13 alongside other members of the ‘Fast and Furious’ family, including Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster. During his speech inside the theatre, Diesel credited Meadow with making sure he did not attend alone. “The person who was not going to let me come alone here to represent that brotherhood was Meadow Walker,” he said, adding, “I’m gonna go and shed a tear real quick,” as quoted by E! News.
Honouring Her Father’s Memory
Meadow has also continued to honour her father’s memory. On what would have been his 50th birthday in 2023, she called him her “guardian angel” and wrote, “Thank you for your love, guidance, friendship, sunshine and for raising me to see all of the beauty in the world.” She added, “You are the most kind, humble, generous and caring soul I know. You taught me at a young age to always treat everyone with respect, to do good and to take care of our planet. I love you and miss you every day.” (ANI)
