India vs Afghanistan: After the end of IPL 2026, now the eyes are fixed on the Test match between India and Afghanistan. The only test between the two countries will be played from June 6 at the Maharaja Yadvinder Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh. Team India is busy preparing for this match with all its might. BCCI has shared the first video of Team India preparing for the Test against Afghanistan. This video starts with the fielding drill of Team India. After that the batsmen are seen practicing their batting. At the nets, KL Rahul can be seen testing his batting against Kuldeep Yadav and other Indian spinners. Apart from Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal is also seen preparing himself for the red ball. At the end of the video, there is also a glimpse of Gautam Gambhir who is seen keeping an eagle’s eye on the hard work of the Indian players.

This will happen for the second time

This will be the second time for India and Afghanistan when they will face each other in Test cricket. For the first time, both the teams faced each other in the year 2018 at the M. Chinnaswamy ground in Bengaluru, in which India won by a huge margin of an innings and 262 runs.

Test match for the first time on New Chandigarh ground

After 8 years, now both the teams are face to face once again. This time the match is at Maharaja Yadvinder Singh International Cricket Stadium, New Chandigarh, which is going to debut in Test cricket. This will also be the first international match to be held on this ground.
