Mukundpur LPG Cylinder Explosion: A terrible explosion occurred in Mukundpur area of North Delhi on Tuesday. Here a one-storey house collapsed due to the explosion of an LPG cylinder, in which six people were injured. According to Delhi Police, six people have been injured in this incident. Nothing clear can be said about his condition yet. The situation will become clear only after examination by doctors. Police said that the building where the accident took place was used for polishing utensils.
The entire house collapsed in a few seconds
Giving information about the accident, Station House Officer (SHO) Giriraj said, “Due to the explosion in the LPG cylinder, a single-storey house built in about 250 square yards has collapsed… Search and rescue operations are underway… The fire department had received a call about an explosion in a house in Mukundpur, Delhi.”
At the same time, Delhi Fire Service said, “We received information that a one-storey house has collapsed after an LPG cylinder explosion in Mukundpur area. A search and rescue operation is going on.” More information in this matter is awaited.
Cylinder burst in Shahdara area of Delhi
- Meanwhile, in a separate incident, at least four people were injured when a cylinder exploded in Ajit Nagar area of Shahdara in east Delhi.
Shahdara Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rajendra Prasad Meena said that the incident occurred at around 1:30 pm. He said that Head Constable Rahul and Constable Kuldeep received information about the fire and immediately reached the spot. Policemen rescued a woman, children and a man and took them safely to the hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. - Speaking to ANI, Shahdara DCP said, “…at around 1:30 pm, Head Constable Rahul and Constable Kuldeep received information about a fire in house number 4332, street number 9 of Ajit Nagar, Gandhi Nagar. After reaching the spot, they found people trapped on the first floor. They rescued a woman, children and husband, took them safely to the hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.”
According to the DCP, the cause of the blast could have been leaking of the gas cylinder pipe. (ANI)
