A case of a person seriously injuring himself has come to light in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. According to police and family members, 42-year-old Rammilan Yadav, a resident of Ward No. 6 Bhatipura of Maharajpur police station area, allegedly cut off his private parts with an ax on Saturday morning due to his desire to become a monk and give up household life.
After the incident, he was admitted to Chhatarpur District Hospital in a seriously injured condition, where his treatment is continuing under the supervision of doctors. His condition is said to be critical due to excessive bleeding.

According to the family, Rammilan Yadav had gone to the well located near his farm at around 9 am on Saturday morning. It is said that after being alone there for some time, he cut off his private parts with an ax kept nearby. Immediately after the incident he started suffering from pain.

Family members say that, after getting injured, Rammilan himself called his cousin and informed him about the incident. As soon as the information was received, the family members reached the spot and brought him to the district hospital in a blood-soaked condition.

According to family members, Rammilan Yadav had been talking about spiritual life and becoming a saint for some time. The injured man also told the family that he did not want to commit any kind of sin in the future and wanted to be completely free from family life.

Family members say that they had no idea that he could take such a drastic step. The family and people around are also shocked after the incident.
Treatment continues in hospital, condition critical
According to sources at the district hospital, the injured person has been admitted in a critical condition. A team of doctors is treating him. Due to excessive bleeding, his condition remains critical and doctors are continuously monitoring him.
Police is investigating all aspects
After getting information about the matter, Maharajpur police station also reached the hospital. Police say that information is being collected regarding the incident and all aspects are being investigated.

According to police officials, preliminary information appears to be a case of self-inflicted injury, however, the cause and circumstances of the incident will be confirmed only after the investigation is completed. Police are also investigating the mental condition of the person and other possible reasons.
