Kiara Advani has faced a fair amount of trolling over her character and bold romantic scenes with Yash in “Toxic.” Some sections of social media users criticized the actress for featuring in an intimate role despite being married and a mother to a baby girl.
Addressing the trolling at the “Toxic” trailer launch in Bengaluru, Yash said Kiara need not worry about the criticism. He said the negativity would disappear once the film releases and suggested that the film and its characters are ahead of their time.
Now, Kiara’s husband and actor Sidharth Malhotra has also extended his full support to the actress and the film.
Sidharth shared the “Toxic” trailer on his Instagram, praised the team and expressed that he was looking forward to watching the film. His post has excited Kiara’s fans, with many thanking the actor for standing by his wife amid the trolling.
Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, both popular Bollywood actors, got married in 2023 and welcomed their first child, a baby girl, last year. Kiara was pregnant during the later stages of the shooting of “Toxic,” with the film’s production continuing around her pregnancy and motherhood.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, “Toxic” stars Yash and Kiara Advani in the lead roles and is set for a theatrical release on August 26.
