Mahesh Babu appears as Lord Rama in a key episode related to the Ramayana in SS Rajamouli’s upcoming epic “Varanasi.” The film does not tell the entire Ramayana, but focuses on one particular episode from the epic. Despite this, speculation has begun about the possible presence of Hanuman in the film.
According to the latest buzz, Ram Charan is being speculated to appear as Hanuman in the film. However, there has been no official confirmation from the makers regarding Ram Charan’s involvement in Varanasi or his playing Hanuman.
Insiders say the Ramayana episode does not feature several other prominent characters from the epic, including Sita and Ravana, as the film focuses only on a particular episode, reportedly a war sequence in which Mahesh Babu makes his grand appearance as Lord Rama.
It remains to be seen whether Hanuman is part of this particular episode and, even if the character exists, whether Ram Charan will be the one playing the role.
Meanwhile, the makers are reportedly mounting the climax of “Varanasi” on a massive scale, with claims suggesting that it could be among the biggest climaxes ever filmed in Indian cinema.
Produced by KL Narayana and SS Karthikeya, “Varanasi” stars Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in key roles. The other day, the team released from the film on the occasion of the actor’s birthday.
For now, Ram Charan’s reported appearance as Hanuman remains unconfirmed, and an official word from Rajamouli or the Varanasi team is awaited.
