The Asia Cup 2025 was nothing special for the Afghan team. Afghanistan’s team was ruled out of the tournament from the group stage itself, which was no less than a big upset. She was one of the biggest contenders for Super-4. However, as soon as it was out of the tournament, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has started further preparations and made a big announcement. Actually, Afghanistan has to play a white ball series against Bangladesh, for which the team has been announced.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has announced its teams for the white ball series against Bangladesh. The series will be played in the United Arab Emirates, including three T20s and three ODIs. Despite not being able to perform well in the Asia Cup, the Afghan team is now ready to land with new energy, which will be part of the preparation of the ICC Men T20 World Cup next year.
The T20 series between Afghanistan and Bangladesh will start from October 2. At the same time, ODI series will be played between the two teams from October 8. For this series, fast bowler Fazalhak Farooqui, all -rounders Gulbadin Naib and Karim Janat have been excluded from the team. Apart from these, Rashid Khan will only be part of the T20 series, where he will take charge of the team. On the other hand, in the ODI series, the team will play under the captaincy of Hashmatullah Shahidi.
