Twisha Sharma Case: Husband Samarth Singh Reveals Last Fight Over Ajmer Before Her Death

In a new development in Twisha Sharma’s death case, her husband Samarth Singh has told police they fought over a trip to Ajmer just hours before she was found hanging. This claim comes as a medical team from AIIMS, Delhi, arrived in Bhopal to conduct a second post-mortem examination following a court order.

In a big claim during police interrogation, Twisha Sharma’s husband Samarth Singh said that the couple fought over a trip to Ajmer just hours before Twisha’s death. Police stated that the couple’s five-month marriage had been tense, with disputes apparently happening often, according to an NDTV story. Just hours before Twisha Sharma was discovered hanging at their Bhopal home on May 12, the couple had also argued over a planned vacation to Ajmer in Rajasthan, according to police.

Twisha Sharma’s husband, Samarth Singh, reportedly told authorities that she started acting differently after her pregnancy was confirmed on April 17. His statement differed from earlier claims suggesting that repeated questions about the unborn child’s father had caused her emotional distress.

Second Postmortem Examination

To do a second post-mortem examination, a medical team including four prominent physicians from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, arrived in Bhopal early on Sunday.

In response to a directive from the Madhya Pradesh High Court, AIIMS Delhi established a medical board with four renowned physicians to do Twisha’s second autopsy. Twisha passed away on May 12 and was reportedly harassed for dowry. The team flew to Bhopal on Saturday.

The reported blunt force injuries to Twisha’s left arm and forearm, the lack of a thorough dissection to determine the extent and age of the injuries, and the absence of a radiological evaluation of the neck and cervical structures are some of the issues brought up by her family.

Currently on a seven-day police remand, Samarth Singh was grilled for around two hours on Saturday, a day after he reached to surrender in Jabalpur but was arrested first and taken to Bhopal. He had been missing since the day Sharma was found dead, with an anticipatory bail plea filed by his lawyer being rejected. His mother Giribala Singh, a retired judge, was granted pre-arrest bail but was accused of ignoring police notices and not cooperating in the probe in her daughter-in-law’s death.
