Narendra Modi Bhavnagar Speech: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated development projects worth Rs 33,600 crore in Bhavnagar. The emphasis laid on self -reliant India, maritime heritage, shipbuilding and making Gujarat a hub of maritime prosperity.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects at the “Samriddhi Samriddhi” program held in Bhavnagar on Saturday. During this period, more than ₹ 33,600 crore works were given. PM Modi said that self -sufficiency is the basis of developed India 2047 and India’s coastal line will become the door to the prosperity of the country.
Resolve of self -reliant India in marine field
Prime Minister Modi said that India is not threatened by any external enemy, the real challenge – dependence on others. Referring to campaigns like “Chip to Ship”, he said that now India is building its own ships. INS Vikrant is a great example of this, which was fully designed with Indian steel and technology.

Gujarat will become sea hub, new employment from ship construction
PM Modi called upon the traders of Gujarat to promote local products by putting a message of “Garh Tha, Aa Swadeshi Chhe” on their products. He said that the ongoing port development, shipbuilding and recycling projects in Gujarat including Mumbai International Cruise Terminal will give new heights to the country.
The Prime Minister said that shipbuilding is the foundation of many industries. 600 other jobs are generated from 100 shipping jobs. For this reason, the government is preparing a big training ecosystem by adding ITI, Marine University, Navy and NCC. In the last 11 years, the capacity of the ports of India has doubled and the ship turnaround time has come down to less than a day.
World’s largest marine museum will be built in Lothal
The world’s largest Maritime Museum is being built in Lothal to save India’s rich maritime heritage. PM Modi said that this museum will connect the coming generations with the glorious maritime tradition of India.
CM and Union Minister expressed gratitude
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that the state’s coastal policies and modern port development have made Gujarat the country’s major cargo handling state. At the same time, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, water-based transport is now connecting every part of the country.

At the end of the program, PM Modi called upon the citizens to adopt ‘Vocal for Local’ on the upcoming Navratri and Deepawali festival.
