This unique incident happened near the district court complex on Saturday. According to local reports, a man came to a lawyer’s chamber carrying a bag full of cash worth around Rs 2 lakh. Before anyone could understand anything, a monkey snatched the bag from his hand and ran away.
After this the monkey climbed a nearby tree and started looking at this ‘treasure’ in his hands. He thought that there would be some food items in the bag, but when he opened the bag, he found bundles of Rs 500-500 notes inside. What happened next became a viral drama.
The monkey, sitting high on the tree, reportedly tore the wads of currency notes and started blowing the notes in the air. As notes started flying on the road and surrounding areas, astonished people started seeing a literal rain of money.

Within a few minutes a crowd gathered under the tree. While the owner of the bag was in distress and screaming for help, passersby rushed to collect the scattered cash. This commotion continued for several minutes outside the registry vendors’ campus, due to which the news spread throughout the area. A 53-second video capturing this strange incident has gone viral on social media, which has received thousands of views and people are giving funny reactions to it. Fortunately, local people helped the owner collect the scattered money. Reports suggest that out of Rs 2 lakh, around Rs 1.98 lakh was recovered.
