These things are banned in handbags

It is prohibited to keep any thing in hand luggage i.e. the bag carried in the cabin, which can be used as a weapon.

Measuring Tapes: Measuring tape used for work cannot be kept in hand luggage.

Sports Equipment: Items like cricket bats, skateboards and fishing rods are not allowed in cabin luggage.

Toys: If toys resembling guns, bows and darts are found in hand luggage, they will be confiscated by the security staff.

Poppy Seeds: Use of poppy seeds is common in Indian kitchen, but it is completely banned in UAE. It has been kept in the list of narcotics. If even poppy seeds mixed with food are found in your possession, it will be considered a serious crime.

Pork Products: Pig meat and products made from it such as lard, gelatin and bacon are not allowed to be brought into the country through customs.

Medicines and Narcotics

Products like hemp and CBD oil are completely banned in the country.
