Sachin Yadav, who hails from Baghpat district of UP, has become an emerging star in Indian athletics. In this championship, he broke the 30 -year -old record.
However, Sachin initially wanted to become a cricketer. He used to consider former Team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah as his ideal. He played in the local tournament till 19 years of age. Suddenly something happened to him one day, which changed his life.

It happened that Sachin’s neighbor and his early coach Sandeep Yadav saw him bowling. Seeing Sachin’s high stature, Sandeep felt that he could become a good javelin thrower. After this, he started coaching Sachin. 6 feet 5 inch long Sachin Yadav won the gold medal with a throw of 80.04 meters at the 63rd National Open Athletics Championship in Bangalore in 2024.
After this, his brilliant journey started. He dominated the Federation Cup (83.86 meters) in Kochi and the Gold Medal in the National Games (84.39 meters) in Dehradun. During this, he did something that was shocked.
90 meter foul, which shocked fans
During practice at the National Games of 2025 in Dehradun Sachin Yadav Has performed a simple throw (with just 12 strids) that went up to about 90 meters, but was called a foul due to a light step out. His winning 84.39 meter throw in this tournament also came after an ankle injury in his first attempt, where he slipped. During this, he won the gold medal.
His achievements established him as an emerging star, who was ready to succeed India’s great player Neeraj Chopra. However, Sachin was also very upset with injuries.
Elbow surgery
In the year 2022, Sachin Yadav struggled with repeated injuries. Due to the problem of elbow, he had to undergo an operation. Because of this, he stayed out of the field. After recovering from the injury, he made a brilliant comeback and won the UP State title with 72.06 meters. His coach says that Sachin’s 107 kg body is a two-edged sword-ideal for a thorough but suffering from sprains.

However, after taking coaching from Naval Singh in Delhi, Sachin stayed away from injury.
