At the Balram Krishi Mahotsav in Khandwa, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav transferred more than ₹ 3,300 crore to the accounts of 82.70 lakh farmers and made many big announcements.
Bhopal/ Khandwa. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav gave a big gift to the farmers in the Balram Agricultural Festival organized in Khandwa on Monday. During this, under the Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana, he transferred an amount of more than Rs 3,300 crore to the bank accounts of more than 82.70 lakh farmers of the state through a single click. Farmers received an assistance amount of Rs 4,000 together as the third installment of the year 2025-26 and the first installment of 2026-27.
During the program, the Chief Minister honored the farmers who have done excellent work in the field of organic farming, hi-tech farming and food processing. Besides, meritorious students and social media influencers also got honours. On this occasion, he announced the establishment of a new police battalion in Khandwa and said that tenders for the Khandwa-Bundi route will be issued before September 15. Farmers welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting him a traditional plough.

Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana: 82.70 lakh farmers got assistance of ₹ 4,000
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central and State Governments are continuously taking decisions in the interest of farmers. He said that farmers produce the country’s food with their hard work and sweat, hence the government is working with full commitment for their respect and prosperity.
He said that under the Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana, an amount of more than Rs 3,300 crore has been sent directly to the bank accounts of more than 82 lakh 70 thousand farmers of the state. Every eligible farmer has received assistance of Rs 4,000 this time.

The Chief Minister said that today the world is recognizing the strength and potential of India. Indian culture is based on the principle of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and ‘Live and let live’. He said that in Indian tradition every living being is respected and Lord Balram is considered the first god of agriculture. He said that with the aim of increasing the income of farmers, the year 2026 has been declared ‘Farmer Welfare Year’. Under this campaign, Balram Krishi Mahotsav is being organized across Madhya Pradesh.
Irrigation capacity increased in Madhya Pradesh, farmers will now get electricity during the day
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the result of the government’s plans and determination is that the area under irrigation in the state is continuously increasing. Before the year 2002-03, where the area of irrigation was 44 lakh hectares, now it has increased to 65 lakh hectares. In the last two and a half years alone, more than 10 lakh hectares of additional area has been connected to irrigation.
He said that the government is connecting farmers with electricity, water, better roads, natural farming and modern agricultural techniques. Now farmers are spraying fertilizers and seeds through drones. The Chief Minister announced that after the end of the rainy season this year, farmers will be provided electricity for irrigation during the day. Apart from this, the government is also promoting milk production. A target has been set to increase the current 9 percent production to 20 percent.
Government roadways buses will start from next month, air ambulance service will also continue
The Chief Minister said that the government is continuously working for the farmers as well as the women of the state. Under Ladli Brahmin Yojana, women are being given financial assistance of Rs 1,500 every month. He said that from next month the people of Madhya Pradesh will start getting the facility of government roadways bus service. Apart from this, air ambulance service is also being provided for the treatment of serious patients. The Chief Minister said that religious places associated with Lord Shri Ram and Lord Shri Krishna are being developed as pilgrimage sites. Along with the preparations for Simhastha-2028, development projects worth thousands of crores of rupees are also going on in Omkareshwar Dham.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s statement on UCC, mentions support of Muslim women
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also mentioned the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in his address. He said that the spirit of “One Country, One Constitution, One Head” is being taken forward in the state and the State Government has got the UCC passed in the Assembly.
He said that in the survey conducted regarding UCC, SMS were sent to more than 3.5 crore people and more than 10 lakh suggestions were received. According to the Chief Minister, more than 76 percent of Muslim women in the survey supported the implementation of UCC. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Muslim women have got freedom from the practice of triple talaq.
