Whereas God is known as the power that controls the five elements – land, air, fire, water etc. God is the supreme power of this creation.
God has created this world and the creatures living in it and He controls everything, hence God is called omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent. God is an ocean of love and compassion.

Gods have powers, but they are very limited. Whereas God has infinite powers. God is considered the lord of the gods. To please the Gods, special worship is required. Whereas any human being can attain God without worship, only through love and devotion.
