The Indian cricket team has defeated Zimbabwe in the T20 series. Team India, which has already won the series, defeated the home team by 35 runs in the third and last match. In this way, the team made a clean sweep for the first time under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer. This time the heroes of victory were Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Mayank Yadav, who were at the forefront in terms of runs and wickets. The last match of the series was played in Harare on Sunday 26 July. A day before this, Team India had captured the series by winning the second match. Now it was the turn of the clean sweep and Iyer’s team did not face much trouble in making it successful. Once again the Indian team batted first and scored 193 runs. Vaibhav, who scored 50 runs in 19 balls in the first match, scored his second half-century in the series and scored 81 runs in just 48 balls. Along with this, he also scored the highest score of 151 runs in the series. Apart from them, captain Shreyas Iyer (27) and Rinku Singh (25 not out) also scored runs quickly in this innings, with the help of which the team was able to reach a good score. Mayank-Thakur stunned Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe had a bad start this time too and again fast bowler Mayank Yadav dismissed opener Brian Bennett on the very first ball. Even after this, the condition of Zimbabwe remained bad. Yash Thakur took 2 wickets in consecutive balls, including that of Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza, who could not even open the account. After losing 4 wickets for just 65 runs, Ryan Burl and Wesley Madhevere (28) made a partnership of 60 runs for Zimbabwe but its pace was slow and the match was out of Zimbabwe’s hands.
Burl (54 not out) definitely completed his half-century but the team could only reach 157 runs in 20 overs and lost by 35 runs. For Team India, Mayank took 3 wickets for 29 runs, while Yash Thakur also got 2 successes. Ashok Sharma, who returned to the team again for this match, also took his first wicket in international cricket.
