Iran is pretty ticked off with Donald Trump’s one-sided comments before any deal is even on the table. While Iran’s president says they’re open to a ‘respectable’ solution, the US has just banned Iran’s authority in the Strait of Hormuz and is threatening to start attacks again.
Iran is furious with Donald Trump for making one-sided statements before any agreement has been reached. The main reason for their anger is his comment about destroying their uranium stockpile. In response, the Iranian president has said they are ready for a ‘respectable solution’. However, the US has now banned Iran’s authority to control the Hormuz Strait.
Meanwhile, Iran has started preparations for the burial of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was reportedly killed in an attack.
Just yesterday, a post by Donald Trump on Truth Social made it seem like a deal was just around the corner. But then, nothing happened. This comes even as Iran’s official stand is that the nuclear issue is not up for discussion right now. Despite this, Trump announced that the uranium stockpile would be seized and destroyed with Iran’s help. Iranian media is calling it all talk, and their leaders are firm that no nuclear talks are happening at the moment.
Adding to the tension, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has now issued a new statement. He said that if an agreement isn’t reached, the US will restart its attacks. In response, the Iranian president said they are ready to end the war, but only if it’s done in a ‘respectable manner’. Even as talks for a deal are supposedly on, the US has banned the Persian Gulf Strait Authority, which was set up by Iran in Hormuz. Iran is apparently making arrangements for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s burial with the expectation that a peace deal will be signed soon. A special task force has even been formed for this.
Pakistan, which is acting as a mediator, is still keeping oil export routes open for Iran. At the same time, Iran has tripled its oil exports to China through its rail network.
