Surprisingly, this decision came after the resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Now there is talk from Patna to Delhi about Tej Pratap going to jail. It is said that this action has been taken against him in connection with the protest held at Gandhi Maidan in Patna regarding the NEET-UG paper leak controversy.

- Singh told reporters, “The FIR was registered on July 26, while the arrest took place on July 25 at 7:30 pm from the City Center Mall. I had given an application to the judge for his release. He said to complete the bail process on Monday. I reached Naubatpur police station at 10:30 am. There were 2 SPs present there. I asked him the reason for the arrest. Even his family members did not know that that evening. He has been arrested since 7:30. We have not even received a copy of the FIR yet.”
- Yadav was detained by Bihar Police on Saturday. That day he had joined the students protesting over the NEET paper leak during the Bihar Bandh in Patna.
Is it a crime to protest by holding the tricolor flag?
- On this arrest, JJD’s Bankipur by-election candidate Veena Manvi has raised questions on the timing and intentions of the police action. He said, what is wrong if we protest a little?… What crime have they committed? Was it a crime if the Tricolor was shown among children once? - While being detained, Tej Pratap Yadav had supported the protesting students and urged the government to address their concerns.
- Yadav had told reporters, “The demands of the children are legitimate. The government should fulfill their demands, and we stand firmly with them. I am ready to sacrifice my life for the students and the youth.”
When police booth was vandalized, gas shells were fired

- A traffic police booth was allegedly vandalized during the protest in Patna. The atmosphere became tense due to clashes between police and protesters. Stone pelting also took place, and police had to use tear gas shells to disperse the protesters.
- These demonstrations took place across Bihar on the call of ‘Bihar Bandh’. The students were demanding improvements in the education system and action against alleged rigging in the examination process.
- Protesters demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and vandalized police vehicles and overturned them during protests in Patna, following which police forces were deployed in the affected areas.
