A painful accident occurred in the capital Lucknow on Wednesday evening. While playing, the life of an innocent child suddenly got in danger. In Hussainganj police station area, 7 -year -old Veeru fell into a drain and the strong current took him away. Big accident took place while playing in Ramlila Maidan
Veeru, who lives in Hussainganj area, was playing at Ramlila Maidan on Wednesday evening. The ground wall is adjacent to Hyder Canal. While playing, some of his marks fell into the drain. In an attempt to remove the marbles, Veeru suddenly slipped and fell straight into the drain. On seeing this, the strong currents of water shed it.

Local people tried hard to save but failed
The people present at the site of the incident tried to save Veeru, but the flow of the drain was so fast that it was not possible to take the child out. Innocent was swept away in front of people’s eyes and there was chaos on the spot.

Police, fire brigade and divers teams engaged in rescue
Police and fire department team reached the spot as soon as the incident was received. The help of the municipal corporation was immediately taken and divers were called. At present, a joint campaign is being run to search for the child.
Mayor Sushma Kharkwal expressed grief and assured
Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharkwal expressed deep grief over the incident. He said that the municipal corporation and administration are working hard in search of the child and all possible help will be given to the victim’s family.
There is no clue of the child even after 3 hours
Veeru, who fell in the drain at around 6 pm, could not be detected even after several hours passed. The family is shocked by this incident. People of the area are gathering on the banks of the drain and watching the rescue operation and praying for the innocent to get safe.
