New Delhi [भारत]July 25 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday praised the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and his tenure. He praised Pradhan’s principled stand and described his decision to step down as a testament to his commitment to public morality and national interest.

In a post on “Hon’ble Shri @dpradhanbjp ji has fulfilled every responsibility in his public life with devotion, honesty and complete dedication. As the Union Education Minister, he made an important contribution in effectively implementing the National Education Policy-2020. He took forward many meaningful reforms in the education system. Teaching in Indian languages got strengthened, technical and higher education expanded, new opportunities became available to the students.”
On the minister’s decision to step down, Chief Minister Gupta stressed that giving priority to national interest over position is an example of high ethical standards in governance. “Keeping the national interest paramount, he has resigned from his post. This decision reflects his unwavering commitment to moral values, dignity and principles in public life. May his continuous efforts in the service of the nation continue to touch new heights. There was protest regarding NEET-UG leak issue
Pradhan’s resignation comes after a month-long agitation at Jantar Mantar led by the Cockroach Janata Party and activist Sonam Wangchuk, who was on a 26-day hunger strike after the NEET-UG exam leak in May. The re-examination was held on 21 June. The movement reached its peak on 20 July with CJP’s ‘Chalo Sansad’ march, which was met with police action.

Cockroach Janata Party founder Abhijit Dipke said in his first reaction, “We did it. Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned.”
He further said, “Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned. And this resignation is proof that if you people are not afraid, if you people do not bow down before this government, then we can take anyone’s resignation.” (ANI)
