It seems that Vaibhav Suryavanshi is liking the land of Zimbabwe. Just a few months ago, after making India the champion by playing a stunning century in the final of the Under-19 World Cup in the same country, Vaibhav is once again performing wonders with the senior team here. After scoring a half-century in 18 balls in the first match of the India-Zimbabwe T20 series, Vaibhav’s short but stormy innings was seen in the second match also. In this innings, there was a tough competition between Vaibhav and Zimbabwean fast bowler Richard Ngarawa in a single over.
The Indian team came out to bat first in the second match of the T20 series in Harare on Saturday 25th July. In the last match, Team India had chased the target, where it had to score only 126 runs. Then Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a explosive inning of 50 runs in just 19 balls, which was his first half-century in international cricket. In such a situation, when Team India came to bat first in the second match, all eyes were on Vaibhav to see whether he would play an even bigger innings than before.
This time Vaibhav did not last long but the clash between him and Richard Ngarava created a tremendous atmosphere at the beginning of the match. This was the third over of the Indian innings, on the first ball of which Vaibhav could not score any runs. Till this time he had faced only 4 balls and was looking uncomfortable. But then Ngarava scored a wide and after that Vaibhav spoiled their rhythm. The 15 year old Indian opener hit four, six, four and four (4,6,4,4) on the next four balls.

Tall pacer Ngarava suffered such a beating which troubled Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza. He made a slight change in the fielding and deployed the fielder at long on. In this way, Vaibhav’s innings did not last long but as long as he remained at the crease, he gave momentum to Team India’s score. The young opener scored 20 runs in his 9-ball innings, which included 3 fours and 1 six. In this way, for the second consecutive match, he gave a stormy start to Team India.
