Announcement to continue the protest despite typhoid
New Delhi [भारत]July 25 (ANI): Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Dipke on Saturday informed about his health, saying that he has been diagnosed with typhoid, but vowed that the ongoing nationwide protests demanding the resignation of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will continue without any stop. In a video message on Twitter, Abhijit Dipke stressed that his medical condition will not stop the protests, and reiterated his commitment to the ongoing movement. “Typhoid has been diagnosed, but the fight will continue until Dharmendra Pradhan resigns,” he said.
Following widespread demonstrations organized across the country, Cockroach Janata Party founder Abhijit Dipke through a video expressed his gratitude to the participants across the country for protesting peacefully and making the movement a huge success. He said, “I really want to thank all the cockroaches who are protesting peacefully across the country, and congratulations to everyone for making this movement a success.”
‘Nothing less than Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation is acceptable’
Meanwhile, on Friday, following social activist Sonam Wangchuk’s decision to end her 26-day hunger strike, Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Dipke asserted that the party’s agitation will continue until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan steps down. Speaking to reporters, Dipke expressed relief over Wangchuk’s health, but remained firm on the movement’s core demand of accountability for exam irregularities. Dipke told reporters, “Our protest will continue until Dharmendra Pradhan resigns. We are very happy and relieved that Sonam sir has ended her hunger strike, as it had been more than 26 days. Her life is extremely precious for this country.”
Reiterating the party’s stand on talks with the Centre, the CJP leader stressed that any talks should be held at a neutral venue. He said, “Our protest will continue until Dharmendra Pradhan steps down. Any meeting should be held at a neutral place or venue. Nothing less than Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation will be accepted.”
Sonam Wangchuk ends her fast
On the other hand, on Friday, activist Sonam Wangchuk hit out at critics questioning her decision to end her 26-day hunger strike in support of students protesting over the alleged NEET paper leak. In a video message shared on social media, Wangchuk also questioned why his commitment towards the cause required a character certificate.
Wangchuk on Friday ended his 26-day hunger strike after receiving written assurance from the central government regarding the issue of NEET exam and reforms in the country’s competitive examination system. The worker further revealed that although verbal assurances were given earlier, they insisted on a formal document, which led to a two-day delay in ending their protest.
Government asked for time for deliberations
