The Ramayana trailer may have been postponed to a later date, but the team left no stone unturned in promoting the film at San Diego Comic-Con 2026. Yash, Ranbir Kapoor and producer Namit Malhotra attended the grand event and spoke to the media about the upcoming mythological epic. Yash, who plays Raavan in the film and has also co-produced it, was full of praise for his co-star RK. He said that the actor had worked extremely hard to do justice to the role of Lord Ram and also lauded his dedication and commitment to the project.
Ramanaya’s Yash Praises Ranbir Kapoor
At the San Diego Comic-Con 2026, Yash lauded and said, “Nobody in this world can come and say, ‘I have the virtue to play Lord Rama’. The fact that he (Ranbir) said the same says it all. He is a fabulous actor. It’s not easy to play Lord Rama and the way he has really worked, huge respect to him.”
He also spoke about RK’s physical and mental commitment. “He has worked very hard on his fitness. When you see Ramayana, you will see a beautiful Rama with great intent and great sacrifice he has done,” said the Toxic – A Fairytale For Grown-Ups star.

Yash’s Message To Fans Amid Ramayana Trailer Delay
Yash also assured fans that despite the technical challenges involved in bringing to at having the right intent and the right team was the foundation of the project and added that everything gradually fell into place once they began the journey with that mindset.
The actor further shared that the story helped the team discover several aspects of life, while the technical side was particularly demanding. However, he said that everyone has given their best to tell the story in the most authentic way possible and expressed confidence that they have succeeded in doing so.
further said that audiences were in for a treat and emphasised that although everyone has their own imagination of the Ramayana, the team had made an honest effort to do justice to the epic. He concluded by saying that their intentions were genuine and that the film had been made with their hearts in the right place.
