Devshayani Ekadashi 2026: Every year, Devshayani Ekadashi occurs on the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Ashadha month. This is the day when Lord Vishnu, the sustainer of the world, goes into Yoga Nidra and then Chaturmas begins, which lasts for four months and ends on the day of Devuthani Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. Tomorrow i.e. on 25th July, the fast of Devshayani Ekadashi will be observed and Chaturmas will begin. It will conclude on 20th November on the day of Devuthani Ekadashi.

Due to Lord Vishnu going into Yoga Nidra, there is no impact on the fasting and worship of Devshayani Ekadashi. The best time for worship on the day of Devshayani Ekadashi tomorrow is from 4.17 am to 6.10 am. During this time, devotees can worship Lord Vishnu after taking bath. Abhijeet Muhurta in the afternoon is also an auspicious time to worship Lord Vishnu. Abhijeet Muhurat on this day is from 12 o’clock to 12.55. The evening puja time is from 07:17 pm to 08:19 pm.

Devshayani Ekadashi puja method

Wake up in the morning and take bath on Devshayani Ekadashi. Then wear yellow clothes. After this, worship Lord Vishnu as per the rituals. First of all, spread a yellow cloth on the post and place the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi. Then bathe Lord Vishnu with Panchamrit and Ganga water. Offer them yellow clothes, yellow flowers, sandalwood, roli, akshat and tulsi dal. Offer yellow fruits and satvik bhog to Sri Hari. Keep in mind that there should be basil leaves in the offering. Chant the mantra Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya. Read or listen to the fasting story of Ekadashi. In the end, perform Aarti with incense sticks.

Devshayani Ekadashi 2026 fast breaking time

Ekadashi fast is always broken on Dwadashi date. The fast of Devshayani Ekadashi will be broken on 26th July. According to Drik Panchang, the auspicious time for breaking the fast on 26th July will be from 05.39 am to 08.22 am. On this day, Dwadashi Tithi will end at 01:57 pm.
