Mother Dairy has given a good news to her consumer. The company said on Tuesday that after major changes in GST by the government, it is cutting the prices of its dairy and food products. The company said that these low prices will be applicable from September 22. The prices of major dairy products like UHT milk, cheese, ghee, butter, cheese and milkshake have decreased, which has come down from 5-18 per cent to 0-5 per cent on the basis of product. For example, 1 liter UHT milk (tetra pack) has now come down from Rs 77 to Rs 75, while 500 grams of butter has come down from Rs 305 to Rs 285.
Ice cream and other products also became cheap
Similarly, the ice cream and successful processed food products of Mother Dairy have also become quite cheap. Ice creams like Chocolate Vanilla Con and Saffron Pistachio Kulfi have become cheaper by Rs 5-10, while successful products like Frozen French fries, potato tikki and packaged coconut water have come down from Rs 5 to Rs 5 to Rs 15. Pouch Milk – Poly Pack Milk (full cream milk, toned milk, cow’s milk, etc.) – has always been free and will remain free, and it will not have any effect on its MRP.
New prices of Mother Dairy Products
Mother Dairy MD Manish Bandlish said that recent cuts in GST on a wide range of dairy and processed food products are a progressive step that will increase conjppens and increase the adoption of safe, high quality packaged products. He said that keeping in mind the spirit of this improvement, effective from September 22, 2025, our customers are giving 100 firgians. He further said that with this change, the entire portfolio of the company has now come into the lowest slab of either discount/zero or 5 per cent.
Amul’s statement also came
A few days ago, one of the most popular dairy brands in the country, Amul clarified that there would be no decrease in the prices of pouches milk from 22 September as it already features zero percent GST. Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Association (GCMMF) MD Jayen Mehta, who marketed Amul products, said that no change in the prices of fresh pouches milk is proposed as there is no reduction in GST. Pouch milk has always been zero percent GST. Mehta said that this relief will be applicable only to UHT milk under the new tax structure, which will now be cheaper with the GST rate to be reduced from 5 per cent to zero. Due to the reduction of GST from 5 per cent to zero, the price of UHT milk will be reduced only from September 22.
