CM Dr. Mohan Yadav honored Kranti Gaur, the first Indian woman cricketer to get her name registered on the Lord’s Honors Board, with Rs 5 lakh.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the state government is making special investment on sports infrastructure, modern training and necessary resources to nurture sports talent. He said that under the ‘Khelo Badho Abhiyan’, competitions like Sansad Cup and MLA Cup are being organized up to the assembly and tehsil level. The result of these efforts is that players from Madhya Pradesh are performing brilliantly on national and international platforms like Cricket, Olympics and Khelo India.

The Chief Minister said that the daughters of the state are making their mark in every field. He said that Kranti Gaur has increased the respect of not only Madhya Pradesh but the entire country with his talent and hard work. Congratulating Kranti, he said that she is the beloved daughter and younger sister of the state, who has started a new revolution in the sports world.
First Indian female cricketer to register her name on Lord’s Honor Board
Dr. Mohan Yadav lauded Kranti Gaur for becoming the first woman cricketer in the country to get her name registered on the Test Honors Board of the historic cricket ground at Lord’s. He described his historic achievement of taking seven wickets at Lord’s in England as a proud moment for Indian cricket.
Award of Rs 5 lakh and memento
The Chief Minister presented an honorarium of Rs 3 lakh and a memento to Kranti Gaur on behalf of the Sports Department. Apart from this, he also gave an additional honor of Rs 2 lakh on his behalf. In this way, a total honorarium of Rs 5 lakh was awarded to Kranti Gaur.
Kranti Gaur told the story from struggle to success
During the felicitation ceremony, Kranti Gaur interacted with young players and trainees of Madhya Pradesh Sports Academy. She told that since childhood her dream was to wear the blue jersey of the Indian women’s cricket team. The journey from a small village in Bundelkhand to international cricket was not easy, but the family supported him in every difficulty.

Kranti said that his family faced financial difficulties. Many times we spent days under a leaking house in the rain and there was not even ration in the kitchen. Despite this, the family never let his courage break. He said that he had decided that he had to play for the country at any cost and fulfill the dream of his family.
