The story of a girl named Swati, who has done MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bodh Gaya, is going viral on social media. Swati got a good job in a company, for which she also shifted to Delhi. But when she reached the office, the ground slipped beneath her feet because there was no office there. Swati told in her LinkedIn post that this deception left her financially and mentally broken.
Swati had received an offer letter from a company named ‘PIB Insurance Brokers’. The date of joining was also told. On this belief, Swati shifted to Delhi. It cost him around Rs 75,000 to find a place to stay and travel to the new city. He was to join on 4th May. Swati waited outside the office for more than two hours and tried to contact the company people, but did not get any response. Later, upon investigation, it was found that the lease agreement of that building had also expired.
But even after this the company kept him in the trap. The company said that the ID cards of the employees are being made and till then they are being given ‘work from home’. The company kept pushing the joining date for weeks and finally said they would have to wait till July. Swati’s entire savings were exhausted due to the expenses of living in Delhi. Then he asked the company to reimburse his traveling expenses. Swati alleges that after this the CEO of the company blocked her phone number and social media accounts.
