Honda City facelift can be launched on May 22. It will get a new front design, sporty bumper and new DRLs. The interior will have a larger screen and wireless connectivity, while the engine will remain the existing 1.5-litre petrol.
eAt present, Honda is continuously making new plans to strengthen its hold in the Indian market. The company has already announced that it will launch a new sub-4 meter SUV and a mid-size SUV in India by 2028. Meanwhile, the company is also preparing to give a new avatar to its popular sedan Honda City. According to media reports, the new Honda City facelift has started reaching showrooms before its launch.
It is expected that the company can launch the new Honda City on May 22. The biggest change in the design of the new Honda City has been made in its front. Now LED DRLs are provided inside the headlamp unit in the car. These new DRLs are joined by a center light bar, which seems to be hidden inside the new grille. This makes the front look of the car more premium and modern than before.
These changes will be available in the design
The headlamp setup is expected to get projector headlamps, while LED DRLs can be fitted at the front. The bumper has been completely redesigned, which looks sportier than before. A front camera has also been seen, from which it is being speculated that it may get Advanced Driver Assistance Features (ADAS) or 360-degree camera system.
The company has not made any significant changes in the side profile. The new Honda City has retained its classic and luxurious design. However, its new black-finished alloy wheels give it a sporty touch. It is likely to get 16-inch wheels like before.
The design of the rear part of the car has also been revealed for the first time. The basic design of the taillights remains the same, but they can be given a smoked finish. This will further enhance the sporty look of the car. A large rear spoiler has also been provided to make the design more attractive. The design of the bumper has also been improved, with the old C-shaped elements being replaced by a new and sporty design.
You will get these new features
If we talk about the interior, many updates are expected in the new Honda City facelift. Reports suggest that the car will get a new and larger infotainment screen. The current model has an 8-inch screen, but the new car is expected to get a larger display. The screen seems to protrude out of the dashboard, giving it a premium design.
It is expected that the car will also have the facility of wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A premium audio system is also expected. Media reports claim that the car will have black and beige interior, ambient lighting and beige seat upholstery.
Engine will be same as before
Engine options are expected to continue with the existing 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine. This may include options for 6-speed manual or CVT gearbox. The City e:HEV strong hybrid variant is also likely to be retained, offering a claimed mileage of up to 27.1 km/l.
