In a meeting held at Gandhi Maidan in Jehanabad on the first day of the yatra, Tejashwi said, “Look at the condition of Bihar today. Crime is increasing, journalists are being attacked and common people are also afraid to raise their voice. The government has neither a concrete plan, nor a solution to give relief from inflation. In such a situation.”
Tejashwi said that his visit is not only for campaigning, but it is a mission in which the voice of the public will be brought to the assembly. He told that in this journey, he will meet the people in every district, understand their problems and will reveal the true picture of Bihar in the elections. He said that the policies of the NDA government have disappointed the youth and no relief has been given to the farmers.
Tejashwi further said that the people of Bihar no longer want to be a victim of cheating. People want change. They want their voice to be heard. The goal of our journey is to make the people realize their rights and they have to tell who stands for them.
The route of the journey is fixed strategically. Starting from Jehanabad, the yatra will end in Vaishali on 20 September via Nalanda, Patna, Begusarai, Khagaria, Madhepura, Saharsa, Supaul, Samastipur and Ujiarpur. Tejashwi is trying to reach 66 assembly seats in 10 districts in five days. These are the same areas where a tough competition was seen between the NDA and the Grand Alliance in the last elections.
Tejashwi said that the people of the state are upset due to unemployment, inflation and crime. He alleged that the NDA government is confusing the youth and development plans are limited to papers. “We will go among the public and listen to their problems and fight for their rights.
