Nayana started her career in 1997 as a sales representative in a pharmaceutical company. At that time his monthly salary was only Rs 5,000. She had studied pharmacy before marriage, so she already had the necessary licenses and qualifications. During the same time, her husband, who worked in the oncology department of Johnson & Johnson Company, got a dealership of the same company. Taking advantage of Nayana’s qualification, both of them together took over that dealership. This was the first step towards his business. A few years later, when her husband started his own business, Nayana took the entire responsibility of the dealership on her shoulders.
Today ‘Om Sai Surgicals’ is a big name in the distribution of oncology and surgical products. Nayana says, ‘With years of hard work, we have been able to become a trusted channel partner of many multinational companies. Our focus is on providing the best healthcare services to the hospitals. In the financial year 2026 itself, the company has achieved a turnover of Rs 48 crore.
Nayana did not disclose her total wealth, but she said, ‘With whatever I have earned, I am living a comfortable life and am able to give good education to the children.’ He also told that in 2010 he had earned Rs 1 crore for the first time. At present, he also has some properties from which he earns rental income. His house, purchased on home loan in 2019, is worth around Rs 4 crore today. Nayana Vaidya believes that honesty towards work rather than money has taken her to this position.
