Sasaram Train Fire: A coach of Patna fast passenger train suddenly caught fire at Sasaram railway station in Bihar on Monday morning. The fire was so strong that the entire coach was burnt to ashes, however, it is a matter of relief that no passenger was injured in this accident.
Patna Fast Passenger Train Fire: There was chaos at the railway station in Bihar on Monday morning when a coach of Patna Fast Passenger train parked at Sasaram railway station suddenly caught fire. Within no time the fire engulfed the entire coach and the coach was completely burnt to ashes. The most reassuring thing is that no passenger lost his life in this accident. A major accident was averted due to the promptness of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), fire brigade and people present at the station. This incident has happened at a time when a day earlier, an incident of fire in two coaches of Rajdhani Express running in Madhya Pradesh was reported. Incidents of fire in trains for two consecutive days have increased the concern of passengers.
Fire broke out on platform number 6 of Sasaram station
According to the information, smoke suddenly started coming out from a coach of Patna Fast Passenger train parked on platform number 6 of Sasaram railway station on Monday morning. Within a short time the fire spread rapidly and the entire carriage was engulfed in flames. There was panic among the passengers present at the station. People started leaving the platform and running away. As soon as the information was received, RPF and railway employees reached the spot and relief work was started immediately.

Fire brigade brought it under control
As soon as information about the incident was received, several fire brigade vehicles reached the station. After much effort the fire was brought under control. According to railway officials, due to timely action, the fire could not reach the other coach. At present, the real cause of the fire is being investigated, but in the initial investigation, short circuit is being considered as the cause.

A day before, there was fire in Rajdhani Express also.
On Sunday, a fire broke out in Thiruvananthapuram-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express in Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh. It was told that a fire had suddenly erupted in the B-1 coach of the train. The incident occurred at around 5:15 am between Vikramgarh Alot and Lunrichha stations of Kota railway division. At that time there were 68 passengers present in the train. Two coaches were affected due to the fire, but it was a matter of relief that there was no major damage or loss of life there either.
Concern increased due to second consecutive incident
The incidents of fire in trains in two consecutive days have raised questions on the railway safety system. People are also raising questions on social media regarding train safety and checking of electrical system in the coach. Many passengers say that regular checking of the electrical system of the train is very important during the summer season, so that such incidents can be prevented.
