Bengaluru: The city is expected to experience hot and humid weather with chances of rain and thunderstorms today and over the next few days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Rain and thunderstorm alert
Today, daytime maximum temperatures are likely to hover around 34-35°C, while minimum temperatures will remain around 22-23°C. Generally cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are likely at some places, which may bring brief relief from the heat.

Generally cloudy skies with chances of light to moderate rain or thundershowers will persist in many areas. IMD has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms and rainfall activity.

Pre-monsoon activity continues
Residents are advised to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, avoid direct sun exposure between 11 am and 4 pm, wear light and loose cotton clothes, and carry umbrellas when stepping out. Keep indoor spaces well-ventilated or use fans.
