New Delhi: The Indian box office continues to witness a slew of movies, with a few films dominating the ticket window while others struggle to make an impact. The latest release Tamil movie, Karuppu, starring Suriya and Trisha Krishnan has failed to get the registers ringing while Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge even witnessed a dip in its collection after its global OTT release.
Karuppu Box Office collection
Suriya and Trisha Krishnan-starrer Karuppu collected only Rs 1.95 crore gross on its opening day. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 1.98 crore in its Tamil Nadu version, Rs 0.85 crore from Kerala and Rs 0.40 crore from other regions in its advance booking.
Krishnavataram Part 1 Box Office collection
Krishnavataram Part 1, the movie based on a specific chapter from the life of Lord Krishna, collected Rs 1.45 crore on Thursday. The film’s total collection now stands at Rs 13.52 crore.
Raja Shivaji Box Office collection
The period drama film, Raja Shivaji, starring Riteish Deshmukh, has become the second highest earning Marathi film of all time. According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 1.90 crore on Thursday, taking the total to Rs 90.10 crore gross in India and Rs 76.95 crore net collection in India so far.
Bhoot Bangla Box Office collection
Akshay Kumar’s horror-comedy, Bhoot Bangla earned Rs 1.25 crore on the 28th day of its release. The film’s total collection now stands at Rs 164.30 crore.
Dhurandhar 2 Box Office collection
Ranveer Singh’s spy thriller, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, witnessed a dip of 5.4 per cent and only collected Rs 0.38 crore on its day 57. The film’s gross collection now stands at Rs 1,796.51 crore. The film earned Rs 1,369.84 crore gross in India and Rs 1,144.56 crore net in India.
According to industry trackers, Indian cinemas in 2026 have already generated more than Rs 25,000 crore in worldwide collections across languages.
