4 important decisions in cabinet meeting, MSP increased on Kharif crop

Many major decisions related to farmers, infrastructure and energy sector were approved in the cabinet meeting of the central government. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed about these decisions after the meeting.

MSP for Kharif season 2026-27 approved

The Cabinet has approved increasing the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for the Kharif season 2026-27. The government has made a total provision of ₹ 2.60 lakh crore for this. The government says that the purpose of increasing MSP is to provide better prices to farmers for their crops and to make farming more profitable. This is also expected to boost the sowing of Kharif crops like paddy, pulses and oilseeds.

Green signal given to coal gasification scheme

The cabinet has also approved the coal gasification scheme. The total cost of this project will be ₹37,500 crore. The government’s aim is to increase better and cleaner use of coal. Through coal gasification technology, coal will be converted into gas and used in energy and chemical production. This can help in reducing dependence on imported fuel.

Sarkejdholera railway project approved

The Cabinet has also approved the Sarkejdholera Semi High-Speed ​​Double Line Railway Project in Gujarat. ₹20,665 crore will be spent on this project. With the construction of this railway line, Dholera Special Investment Region and surrounding industrial areas will get better connectivity. The government believes that this will promote trade, industry and employment.

Nagpur International Airport will be upgraded

The upgradation of Nagpur International Airport was also approved in the meeting. The government has taken a policy decision for this. The expansion and modern facilities of the airport will provide better services to the passengers and will help in developing Nagpur as a major aviation hub of the country.
