CSK name Ramakrishna Ghosh’s replacement; Karnataka off-spinner bags maiden IPL contract

CSK have finally announced a replacement for their injured all-rounder Ramakrishna Ghosh, who was ruled out from the remainder of IPL 2026 after having made his debut this season.

The Chennai Super Kings had already been without the likes of pacer Nathan Ellis before the start of the season, and despite having picked Spencer Johnson as his replacement, he was also ruled out due to a recent injury.

CSK continue their injury-laden campaign in IPL 2026

The CSK team have had a good campaign, especially with their recent winning streak, as they have equaled the points tally with the likes of the Rajasthan Royals and have also surpassed them in that points table.

However, despite their success, their struggle has been true with the fitness of the players. Many players, rather young cricketers, have suffered freak injuries and have been ruled out of the competition.
