Format of The Hundred
‘The Hundred’ Each team gets a chance to play one innings of 100 balls. A bowler can bowl a maximum of 20 balls (in a spell of 5 or 10 consecutive balls). The match starts with a 25-ball powerplay, in which only two fielders can remain outside the 30-yard circle. 8 men’s and 8 women’s teams participate in the tournament. All teams play in the league stage. After this, the top three teams of the points table reach the knockout stage. The second and third place teams play an eliminator, with the winner playing the first place team in the final. This year the final match will be played on 16th August.
