IPL Playoffs Scenario: The pictures of the teams reaching the playoffs in IPL 2026 seem to be clear. 54 matches of IPL have been completed and it seems that a total of 5 teams have been eliminated from the playoff race and now there is a fight between only five teams to reach the top 4. Mumbai Indians were out of IPL 2026 after the loss to RCB. The chances of this team reaching the playoffs are now zero. Something similar happened with Lucknow Supergiants who lost their match against Chennai Super Kings. Let us now tell you which are the three more teams which are almost impossible to reach the playoffs.

Delhi Capitals game is over

Delhi team won 4 out of 11 matches and is at number 8 in the points table. Now only 3 matches are left for this team and its elimination is almost certain. Actually, the net run rate of this team is the worst. Delhi’s net run rate is -1.154 and despite 7 wins, this team can no longer make it to the playoffs.

KKR-Rajasthan also in trouble

KKR and Rajasthan are also in serious trouble. Talking about KKR, this team has won its last four matches. This team has won 4 out of 10 matches, which means KKR has to win the remaining four matches. The problem for KKR is that its next two matches are against RCB and Gujarat. Both these teams are performing amazingly and it seems very difficult to defeat them. Let us tell you that KKR’s chance of reaching the next round is only 9 percent.

Talking about Rajasthan, this team had made a wonderful start to the tournament but now this team is facing defeat after defeat continuously. The chances of Rajasthan reaching the playoffs are 24 percent. Rajasthan has to win two out of the next three matches. This team will face competition from Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Supergiants and Mumbai Indians.

Chennai Super Kings also in the race for playoffs

Chennai Super Kings team is now in the race for the playoffs. This team has won 6 out of 11 matches. Meaning, Chennai has to win 2 out of its next three remaining matches. Chennai’s next three matches will be against Lucknow, Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans. The chances of Chennai reaching the playoffs are 33 percent. However, Chennai will have to try to win all the next three matches because the teams of Punjab, Gujarat, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, which are above them in the points table, are in a better position. RCB has 88 percent chance of reaching the playoffs. Sunrisers Hyderabad have 86 percent chances, Gujarat 82 percent and Punjab Kings 78 percent chances of reaching the playoffs.
