Yogi government started “Sandhya Samvad Program” in Devipatan Mandal from Shravasti. Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal interacted with the villagers, listened to their problems, provided benefits of government schemes and reviewed the development works.

Lucknow. To further strengthen the vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas” of the Yogi government, “Sandhya Samvad Program” was started in Devipatan Mandal from Friday. The objective of this campaign is to extend the benefits of government schemes to the last person in the village and connect the administration directly with the villagers. The program started from Gram Panchayat Tendwa Mahanth of Shravasti district, where the problems of the villagers were solved on the spot and benefits of various schemes were also given.

Direct communication with villagers by setting up open chaupal in Shravasti

Devipatan Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal participated in the “Sandhya Samvad Program” during her visit to Shravasti. He interacted directly with the villagers by setting up an open chaupal in Gram Panchayat Tendwa Mahanth and listened to their problems. During this, instructions were also given to the concerned officers for prompt disposal of complaints. Under the program, a one-day special camp was organized, where different departments set up stalls and informed the people about government schemes. The benefits of the schemes were also provided to the eligible beneficiaries on the spot.

Yogi government’s focus on taking government schemes to villages

Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal said that the main objective of the “Sandhya Samvad Programme” is to ensure that the government schemes are not limited to paper only, but reach the needy people in an effective manner. Under this thinking, administrative officials are directly going to the villages and communicating with the people. He said that this initiative will further strengthen people’s faith in the Yogi government. Besides, transparency and accountability in the implementation of schemes will also increase.

Instructions for transparent disposal given to officials in public hearing

During the Shravasti visit, the Divisional Commissioner also held a public hearing in the Collectorate Auditorium. During this, he along with the District Magistrate and other officials listened to the complaints of the common people and got many cases resolved immediately. He directed the officers to ensure quality, transparent and timely disposal of public complaints, so that people do not have to face unnecessary problems.

Review of preparations for possible flood situation

The Divisional Commissioner also reviewed the preparations of the district administration in view of possible floods. He inquired about relief and rescue operations, monitoring of sensitive areas, availability of relief material and coordination between various departments. He directed the officials that all arrangements should be kept strong and active in advance to ensure prompt action in case of any disaster.

Instructions for early disposal of pension and GPF cases

Durga Shakti Nagpal also listened to the problems of the employees and pensioners. Many retired employees lodged complaints related to GPF, pension and other pending payments. On this, the Divisional Commissioner instructed the concerned departments to ensure payment on priority basis. He said that the Yogi government is continuously working seriously on solving the problems of senior citizens and employees.

Inspection of development projects and construction works of Shravasti

The Divisional Commissioner also inspected the ongoing under construction and newly constructed projects in Shravasti. He reviewed the arrangements for the houses made for the employees of the Revenue Department. Apart from this, the quality and progress of the works was checked by on-site inspection of tourism development projects. During this, he took stock of many projects including street beautification, Buddha Vanam Park, dormitory, gate pillar, parking and interpretation centre.

Instructions not to compromise on the quality of construction works

During the inspection, the Divisional Commissioner gave clear instructions to the executing agencies that there should not be any compromise with the quality of the construction works. He also gave instructions to complete all the projects within the stipulated time frame by deploying additional manpower.
