Camera angle revealed the layers of ‘illusion’
The video shows a traditional quick-change magic act, with a magician on stage, dressed in a white jacket, black hat and yellow cape, accompanied by his assistant. As per the routine, the assistant is covered with a black cloth and her outfit changes every time the cloth is removed. But this time the story was different. The video was recorded not from the front view, but from the side angle. Because of this, the ‘technique’ of the performance became visible to a great extent, due to which the mystery which is the lifeblood of such an act got weakened.
