A 28-year-old mother of two committed suicide after falling into the clutches of cyber thugs in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. In an emotional suicide note addressed to her husband and daughters, Monica wrote that she was forced to commit suicide because of the blackmailer.
Actually, Monica, wife of Ranveer Singh of Faridpur Bhogi village of Kotwali city police station, slept with her two daughters Nandani alias Sammo and Jiya. When the daughters woke up in the morning, they saw that their mother Monica was hanging from the hook of the fan with a scarf tied around her neck.
Both the daughters made noise and woke up the family members sleeping in the house. Monica’s husband Ranveer cut the scarf and removed it from Monica, but her body had become cold. There was chaos in the family. Everyone was surprised why the daughter-in-law of the house committed suicide by hanging herself without any dispute. Husband Ranveer Singh works in a factory.
The family members, along with the villagers, performed his last rites at the Bijnor Ganga Barrage. At the time of the funeral, Monica’s phone was with her nephew Sanyog. He was repeatedly getting calls from an officer wearing police uniform with Crime Branch written on them, due to which the family members became suspicious.
Wrote suicide letter in the name of husband and children
On Wednesday evening, a diary was found under the bed, in which Monica had written a suicide letter addressed to her husband, which left the family members shocked after reading it. In this letter, Monica had written about the cyber crime police and a young man that this boy had been harassing her for a long time by calling and threatening to put the entire family in jail. Has made his life difficult.
Threatened to implicate in drug smuggling
According to the suicide note, this boy was harassing her and her husband by falsely accusing them of drug smuggling. He was saying that he was caught by the Crime Branch police. Give them money and get me released. Otherwise I will arrest you all and put you in jail. Monica’s husband and other villagers reached the police station of Kotwali city with this suicide note and Monica’s mobile phone.
Monica got digital arrested
Demanding an in-depth investigation, investigation of chatting and video-audio calls made on Monica’s mobile revealed that the hackers extracted details and numbers of relatives from the phone and then digitally arrested Monica and pressurized her to recover the money. Since Monica was frightened by his phone calls, she did not tell anything to her husband and family and committed suicide after getting upset.
SSP Abhishek Jha gave information
SSP Abhishek Jha said that a case has been registered against an unknown gang involved in digital fraud. Audio-video calls were being made on Monica’s mobile from five different numbers for the last 15 days, in which the photo of a crime branch officer wearing police uniform was coming. Based on the numbers, teams have been deployed for thorough investigation.
