New Delhi: Tension prevailed at Rayikode after the crowd beat up the ticket inspector with chappals. The RTC bus was travelling from Hyderabad to Narayankhed, and the vehicle was overcrowded.
The bus was stopped midway by the ticket squad for inspection at Rayikode, Telangana. During the checking, a passenger didn’t have a ticket, and despite the ticket inspector imposing a fine on him, he demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000.
The passenger urged the official to fine the usual Rs 500, but the inspector repeatedly demanded a Rs 20,000 bribe from the passenger and the bus conductor, so that they could avoid a case.
Agitated by the incident, the passenger started beating up the ticket inspector with the chappals, and following this, the bus conductor also joined him.

The video was spread on social media, and users shared mixed reactions, as one user said, ” Most of the RTC buses are overcrowded, and the staff are also overworked. It might be a situation where the conductor failed to issue a Rs 10 ticket to one passenger due to the rush.
While another said, “I don’t agree with this mob behaviour of beating a man,” and to give a reply to this comment, a user said, ” I totally 100 per cent agree with the anger of the public; the working-class public are absolutely tired of the system that fleeces them at every step.”
