Goa AI Mission 2027: Preparations are on to make Goa a global tech hub. Under this, the aim is to hone local talent, promote startups and improve governance. The main objective of the new policy is to extend the benefits of technology to the common people and increase the use of tourism, finance and public services.
Goa AI Policy 2026: If you also know Goa only for beautiful beaches and parties, then now is the time to change it. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s government has made preparations to make Goa the ‘hi-tech hub’ of the world. Recently the state government has introduced the draft of its new AI (Artificial Intelligence) policy, which is going to change everything from your holidays to the way you work. Let us know what is special for you in this new plan…
‘Break’ on social media for children?
The most shocking part of this policy is related to children. The government is considering limiting or banning the use of social media for children under 16 years of age. Instead, children will be directed towards ‘AI learning tools’ i.e. high-tech tools for teaching and learning, so that their time can be utilized in the right place.
Focus on ‘Goa AI Mission 2027’
The government has set a big vision for the year 2027. Its aim is to make Goa not just a place to visit but a factory of technology and innovation. Local youth will be taught the nuances of AI so that they can compete with the world. The government will provide all possible help to those starting new businesses. Apart from this, the state will prepare special ‘Large Language Models’ (LLMs) as per its needs.
What is special for the people of Goa?
According to IT Minister Rohan Khaunte, the real benefit of this policy will be to the common citizen. From paying taxes to availing benefits of government schemes, everything will be fast and transparent with the help of AI. Tourists visiting Goa will get a better and modern experience with the help of AI. Full care will be taken of people’s privacy and security in the use of AI.
Plan prepared in record time
The surprising thing is that the government prepared the framework for which 100 days were fixed in just 50 days. For this, long discussions have been held with industry veterans and experts. Right now this is just a draft i.e. initial plan. The government wants the general public to also give suggestions for improvement. It will be available on the portal from May 4. You will have 15 days to give your opinion. You can give your feedback by visiting ‘Goa Online’ portal or IT department website.
