Bad weather triggers diversions, emergency landing at Jaipur airport

New Delhi: Adverse weather conditions across north India disrupted flight operations on Thursday. This led to multiple diversions and one full emergency landing at Jaipur Airport.

An IndiGo flight 6E-6226, operating from Delhi to Dehradun, was unable to land in Dehradun due to bad weather. The flight, which departed at 3:45 pm, was diverted to Jaipur. With fuel levels running low, a full emergency was declared before the aircraft landed safely at around 5 pm.

In another case, an Air India flight AI-1898 from Bhubaneswar to Delhi was diverted after remaining on hold over Delhi for more than 30 minutes due to poor weather. The aircraft circled multiple times before being rerouted to Jaipur, where it landed safely.
