Why were 3 players banned? (PC-PTI)
Afghanistan Bans 3 Cricketers For Playing In Indian T20 League: Afghanistan Cricket Board has banned 3 Afghan players Samiullah Shinwari, Aftab Alam and Shahzad Mohammad. These three players had participated in the Legends League held in India without the permission of the Afghanistan Board. ACB has banned these three players for four months. Now these three players will not be able to participate in any domestic and international cricket for four months. Let us tell you that Afghanistan Cricket Board is very strict in the matter of supervision of its players.
Big claim of Afghanistan Cricket Board
Afghanistan Cricket Board is unhappy with the three players. Afghanistan Cricket Board said that Legends League is not recognized by both ICC and BCCI, which increases the risk of fixing. Let us tell you that Samiullah Shinwari’s team Royal Riders Punjab became the winner in the Legends League. Asghar Afghan also played in this league but the board did not ban him because he had already said goodbye to international cricket.
Contact was made for NOC
According to reports, a player had contacted the Afghanistan Cricket Board before the start of Legends League Cricket. But the board members kept delaying in giving the NOC and the players were not allowed to play. Therefore the players were left with no option but to play in the league. Not only this, these players have been away from international cricket for a long time, hence they did not even bother to take permission from ACB.
Let us tell you that Afghanistan Cricket Board has allowed the players included in its contract to play in only 3 foreign leagues. In the last few years, many players of Afghanistan gave priority to T20 league over international cricket, after which ACB took this decision. Players like Rashid Khan, Noor Ahmed and Rahmanullah Gurbaz have suffered the most due to this decision of the Afghanistan Board.
