Raja Shivaji is one of the most anticipated projects of the year, and the movie is set to release in theatres on May 1. While we are aware that the movie will be released in multiple languages, the update has it that the movie will have a different runtime in Hindi and Marathi.
As per Bollywood Hungama, the CBFC has given Raja Shivaji a UA 16+ certificate. The report states that the Marathi version will be 3 hours, 15 minutes, and 5 seconds long. Meanwhile, the Hindi version of the movie will be exactly 8 minutes shorter; in other words, the Hindi version of the film will be 3 hours, 7 minutes, and 5 seconds long. It is not the CBFC that has asked Riteish for any edits, but he decides to keep the Hindi version a little crisper.
“Usually, two versions of a film have the same duration. However, Riteish Deshmukh has tried a novel experiment and kept the narrative crisp for the Hindi audience. Meanwhile, for the Marathi audience, which would probably be more attracted to the film due to the local flavour, the actor-director has gone for a longer version,” a source shared while speaking to the portal.
