In the marathon meeting of the Cabinet held here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, it was decided to fill about 7,500 posts of different categories in various departments and create some posts.
Under this, it was also decided to appoint 3,950 personnel including 1 watchman and 1 multi-task worker in 1,975 government senior secondary schools. It was decided to create 200 posts of Junior Office Assistant (Library) in the Education Department, 280 jobs of Trainee Technical Assistant for Gram Panchayats under District Councils and 102 posts of various categories for Police Lines under the newly formed Police District Noorpur. Approval was also given to fill 800 posts of assistant nurses in the AYUSH department.
It has been decided to create 48 posts of different categories for the smooth operation of the State Level Sports Excellence Center located at Khari, Nadaun in District Hamirpur. In the meeting, approval was given to fill 10 posts of different categories in Small Savings Department, 6 posts of Auditor (Panchayat), 9 posts of Junior Office Assistant (IT) and 20 posts of Multi-Task Worker in Panchayati Raj Department. It was decided to create and fill 10 posts of Dialysis Technician in the Department of Nephrology of Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla (IGMC) and Atal Institute of Medical Super Specialties Chamiana, while 5 posts each will be created in Hamirpur, Mandi, Chamba, Nahan Medical Colleges.
Approval was given to establish the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery in Tanda Medical College and creation and recruitment of 2 posts of Assistant Professor. It was decided to fill 6 posts of Animal Husbandry Officer and 4 posts of Sub-Inspector of Fisheries in the Fisheries Department. Approval has been given to fill 4 posts of coach and 1 post of warden in Thakur Ram Lal Government Girls Sports School located in Jubbal of Shimla district. It has been decided to fill 4 posts of different categories in Tribal Development Department and create 4 posts of Driver-cum-Pump Operator in Nadaun Sub-Fire Station of Hamirpur district. It was decided to fill 3 posts of Planning Officer and 3 posts of Assistant Research Officer in the Planning Department.
Apart from this, approval was given to fill 5 posts of Junior Office Assistant (IT) in the Department of Economics and Statistics. It was decided to create 1 additional head constable and 4 constable posts for Galod police post under Barsar police station of Hamirpur district, due to which the number of sanctioned posts there will increase from 6 to 11. Approval has been given to fill 2 posts each of ski instructor and mountaineering instructor in Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports located in Manali, Kullu district. In the meeting, it was also decided to fill 4 posts of different categories for Sports Hostel (Volleyball) located at Bharedi in Hamirpur district.
In the meeting, it was decided to provide one-time relaxation of 1 year in the maximum age limit to the candidates applying for recruitment to 800 posts of constable in the police department. Similarly, it was decided to establish All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIMS) at Dhaneta in Nadaun area of district Hamirpur. 75 acres of land will be identified for this. The Cabinet approved increase in the monthly stipend of postgraduate (PG) students working under the Medical Education Department. According to the revised system, first year students will get a stipend of Rs 50,000 instead of Rs 40,000, second year students will get Rs 60,000 instead of Rs 45,000 and third year students will get Rs 65,000 per month instead of Rs 50,000. The Cabinet decided to provide Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) to recognized DM, MCH and DRNB qualified super-speciality faculty members working under the Department of Medical Education and Research. This was being demanded for a long time.
