Zimbabwe vs India T20I: Team India’s Zimbabwe tour is starting from 23rd July. This is the 5th tour of the Indian team to Zimbabwe for the T20 series. India visited Zimbabwe for the first time in 2010 to play T20 series. After that he played T20 series in Zimbabwe in 2015. In 2016, the Indian team played the third T20 series in Zimbabwe and again visited Zimbabwe for the fourth time in 2024. The last 4 tours of Zimbabwe for the T20 series saw the debut of 22 Indian players.

India tour of Zimbabwe, 2010
During the first Zimbabwe tour for the T20 series in 2010, a total of 4 Indian players made their T20 debut, one of which was Virat Kohli. Apart from Virat, R. The T20 debut of Ashwin, Naman Ojha and Amit Mishra was also seen on the same tour. Virat, Ashwin and Naman Ojha got a chance to debut in the first T20 of the series. Whereas, Amit Mishra made his debut in the second T20. Both these matches were played in Harare.

Team India visited Zimbabwe again in 2015 for the T20 series. On this tour, a total of 6 players from India played the first match of their T20 career, which included the names of Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, Stuart Binny, Akshar Patel, Sandeep Sharma and Sanju Samson. Of these, the first 5 players made their debut in the first T20 of the tour. Whereas Sanju Samson’s debut was in the second T20. The Harare ground also witnessed the T20 debut of all these players.

In 2016, the Indian team again visited Zimbabwe to play the T20 series. This time 7 players made their T20 debut, which included the names of KL Rahul, Mandeep Singh, Rishi Dhawan, Jaydev Unadkat, Yuzvendra Chahal, Dhawal Kulkarni and Barinder Sran. Of these, Dhawal Kulkarni and Barinder Sran made their debut in the second T20. Whereas the rest had already made their debut in T20.

Team India made its fourth tour to Zimbabwe for the T20 series in 2024, in which a total of 5 Indian players made their T20 debut. Apart from Abhishek Sharma, the names of Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Sai Sudarshan and Tushar Deshpande are there.
Team India is now in Zimbabwe to play T20 series for the 5th time. It would not be surprising if some Indian players make their T20 debut on this tour too.
